National Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina, March, 1.

The President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee has extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the eve of theirNational Day (March 1, 2017).
“On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, it is with great pleasure that I extend greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency [His Excellency Mr. Mladen Ivanic, Chair of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina] and to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of your National Day…”

Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country on the Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. Its countryside is home to medieval villages, rivers and lakes, plus the craggy Dinaric Alps. National capital Sarajevo has a well preserved old quarter, Baščaršija, with landmarks like 16th-century Gazi Husrev-bey Mosque. Ottoman-era Latin Bridge is the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, which ignited World War I.
